Promo: Helio doubles the Referral Bonus

Helio wants your BFFs to be their BFFs too. For each friend you bring onto Helio before February 28 of ‘08, they’ll show the love by giving you two free months instead of the standard one. Regardless of what plan you’re on, 2 months free works out to a solid chunk of cash. If you manage to hit the promo’s cap of 5 referrals, you’ll be all prepped to swim around in your savings Scrooge McDuck style. (Or if you’re lame and don’t appreciate the greatness of swimming around in hard metallic coins, I suppose you could buy something.)
“For a limited time, we are bumping our generous referral program up from one free month of service to two. All you have to do is refer a new Member. Here’s how it works: Get your friend to join Helio by visiting a Helio store or kiosk, by calling 888-88-HELIO, or by ordering online at www.helio.com. If they join at a Helio store or kiosk, have them call us at 888-88-HELIO and give the representative your Helio number within fifteen days of their activation. If they buy at Helio.com they can enter your number into the online shopping cart. And if they join by calling 888-88-HELIO, make sure they give your Helio number to the representative. Then after they’ve been a Member for three months you are eligible to get two months of service for free.

no doubt,it sounds great,but i’m having trouble getting them to honor a referral i gave them already.And on a side note,i activated my ocean for the old $119 all in/unlimited price,then a few weeks later it was dropped to $99!i was told by a representative that the only way i could get this deal was to downgrade my plan for 1 month,then upgrade back to the unlimited plan.Well needless to say after a month of painstakingly counting minutes they’re not honoring their word and are charging me $119!Helio REALLY needs to step it’s customer service up *shrugs* -0n3-

i was pissed about the 99$ plan so i called , got through a few idiots, and talked to like a customer care person basically if you tell them you are really unsatisfied and are ready to cancel your account, some, will put you on the 99$ plan. If they don’t hang up and call again. It shouldn’t take to long. It worked for me and i think a few others on this site mentioned it.

ahh!!! i am about to get on to a plan with Helio! Who wants two free months?

I want two free months, but it is probably too late! I wonder if they will continue this program after 02-28-2008. The Helio agent told me that it was still being offered on 03-07-2008, but that was not true according to the Helio Web site.
