Too bad about the mp3 player not playing if it’s not on the screen. Means you can’t browse the internet while listening to music? :(

So, let me get this straight. You can’t use mp3’s as ringtones?

I am just trying out the Fin and was using the Drift for a couple of weeks prior to this. I’m on my second day with the Fin so far. I’m surprised I miss my Drift so much! I may send back the Fin and based on the reviews I’ve read I never would have imagined that.

It’s not that this isn’t a solid phone - it is. It’s just boring and I don’t want that from Helio. I have ATT for boring. I want my helio phone to be fun. On the pro side the new helio up functionality is GREAT on the Fin, the Garmin maps are great, the browser formatting, texting, im, all-in-one inbox are really nice! Why can’t Helio just upgrade the software on the other devices? They could of course but they just want us to buy new phones. Too bad.

The battery on the Fin is like the Drift - WEAK. One day max and you’ll run out of battery if you’re a heavy user. Warning on BT headsets. Seems to be a problem I’m seeing in Helio devices. All my BT headsets (Jawbone and Plantronics) work but have reduced sound quality AND volume on Samsung Drift and Fin. The same BT headsets on my ATT phones sound great. Weird!

Keyboard on the Fin is pretty bad - very spongy, very easy to make a mistake. The blue color of the Fin that I thought I would love (my favorite color) looks institutional. Sound quality excellent - speaker phone excellent. Camera/video very solid. Samsung had some real disdain for their existing users - they’ve made a completely NEW usb/power adaptor port. That’s right. IT’S not the same as any other current Samsungs. Not the Drift, not a Blackjack. They look similar but they’re a different size. Why?

The biggest two problems with both the Fin and the Drift? The lack of multi-tasking on these phones is killing them. Also why do both phones have no way to keep various apps running when they’re closed? Only IM and music player seems to work when closed. What about other tools like GPS, stopwatch, or web browser? These all have good reason where you’d want to leave them running but once you close the phone you have to start all over again ARGH, I’m in pain.

How is the video camera on this compared to the oceans, which totally sucks when there is motion?
