New stuff on the way!
Posted by Greg Kumparak on July 14th, 2007 at 12:21 PMWow, It’s been a long week. Moving from house to house (especially just down the street) is quite possibly the most tedious thing in the world.
It’s been a few days since we’ve updated, so we figured we’d give you a quick peek at what’s coming up - It’s all right behind the jump!
1) New site design: This layout is a bit cluttered, and admittedly dark. We’re working on something a bit cleaner around the edges, hopefully giving the user the option of a light or dark theme. The new theme should work better in IE based browsers, too. This change should happen within the next 2-3 days.
2) New guides: We’ll be writing a few guides this weekend in hopes of adding that much more content to the site. Let us know what you want!
3) Reviews: Since starting our forums we’ve found that a few of our users are really good at writing reviews. Wanna know what game to buy next? You’ll be able to check the reviews section! Expect the first review sometime this weekend.
4) Updated guides: We’re going to be rewriting a few of the guides to make them easier to follow. The ringtone guide will be one of the first to be updated; Less text, more imagery. We’ll also be filming video guides the first chance we get.
5) Exclusive Coverage: We’re digging hard for exclusive coverage on up and coming Helio news. We’ll be visiting Helio HQ on July 16th for an article on the Helio House. We’re digging through FCC reports on a regular basis, hoping to get a sneak peak at the next Helio device.
We’re working on a ton of other stuff that we’re not quite ready to announce yet. Good stuff. Stuff to make your devices better. We’ll announce this stuff as soon as we can.
In other news, the July Contest has ended. We’ll announce the winners tonight. Good luck to everyone who entered, you did an AWESOME job! More contests will be coming soon!
We’re also bringing a few new members onto the Heliocity team. At least one new editor, and some forum moderators. Join this community as soon as you can; we’re skyrocketing in popularity. The sooner you become a regular, the better!
