Opera Mini on the Drift/Heat
Posted by Justin B. on August 2nd, 2007 at 09:29 PMFeeling a little left out because you only have a Drift or a Heat device? Be sad no longer! We’ve been working on getting it to these devices as well.
Again, Opera Mini was NOT designed for any of the Helio devices in mind, therefore it may run a bit quirkily. However, it should run just fine for the most part.
Disclaimer:
1) Though we’ve thoroughly tested this, there are always unforeseeable issues. Install at your own risk. We really, really doubt anything could go wrong, but make sure to backup anything important. If things don’t work, you may have to hard reset your device.
2) This is in no way supported by Helio or Opera. If you have trouble getting it to work, Tech support can’t do squat. So don’t bug’em.

Thanks for this folks. Quick question: Does anyone know how to change the text input mode to numeric while using Opera Mini on the heat? I’m trying to log into a site where I have to enter a password. The password text entry window only displays asterisks and I can’t change the input method to “NUM.” It only toggles through “abc” “Abc” and “ABC”

I got it and it works great. Way to go Helio City guys, now if you could supply a free .mmf converter your quest for world wide domination would be one step further in the right direction.

its a good app. however i cant seem to get the characters to work well with my hero. any help? i cant put to of the same characters together or my passwords wont work cus i cant see the letters.. its just all to good to be true.

wont work now, i think helio blocked it or something. had it working before i made the mistake of switching over to a heat. when it downloads it get all the way to the install box and says “download failed, cancel, retry” if you hit retry a few times it asks you if you want to go to helio portal… bastards.

Helio did not block it. The proxy for downloads is currently down, which has nothing to do with Helio
