Man - Vegas is intense. After just six days in Sin City, I spent two more feeling like I got hit by a bus. Adventures were had - but more on that later. It’s time to give away some goodies.
What’s the only thing better than wandering a convention hall, loading up on free swag? Getting all the same swag without leaving your house. Every time we picked up any swag, we made sure to pick up one more for the readers at home. We couldn’t bring home enough for everyone, so we’re giving it all to one lucky person.
What do you get?
40 pieces of swag, from a ton of different companies. Samsung, Qualcomm, HTC, Sprint, and more - pretty much all of the major mobile companies have somethin in the bag. Everything from playing cards and rubber ducks to miniature bottles of tabasco and USB drives, all wrapped up in one big (and surprisingly nice) LG messenger bag.
We’ll be throwin’ in some Helio swag for good measure, of course.
How do you get it?
We’re feelin poetic. Write a Haiku about Heliocity (or Helio, for the sake of free’ing some syllables), and post it in the comments of this article. Our favorite Haiku takes the bag.
Submission ends at 8pm PST on Saturday, April 12th, so be sure to get your entries in ASAP. We’ll be contacting the winner by the e-mail address they leave in the e-mail field of the comment form.
What the heck is a Haiku?
For everyone that skipped poetry day in second grade, Haiku is a style of Japanese Poetry. 3 lines - First line is 5 syllables, second line is 7 syllables, third line is 5 syllables.
Example Haiku:
“We give you the swag
That we gathered from the show
So come win some crap”

It doesn’t fallow the standard form exactly but traditionally the form is just a guide not manditory so I guess it’s okay that I broke it.
Kinda embarasing actually writing that but the last time I wrote a poem my girlfriend submited it to some site without telling me and it got puplished. The book is called Timeless Voices. This one isn’t nearly as good as that one though.

The Ocean is nice

I miss voice dialing
I was with Alltel before i had this phone, and with a Motoroa V710. All I miss from my last phone are voice dialing and more easily customizable ringtones, which would make this phone perfect in my eyes. Other than that, it’s been great, although the reception is a little spotty sometimes. Unlimited text and data for the win, yo. ^_^
