CTIA 08: Sega Mobile to bring games to Helio
Posted by Greg Kumparak on April 3rd, 2008 at 02:33 AM
We didn’t expect to hear anything Helio related from Sega when we stopped by to check out their mobile offerings, so imagine our surprise when they mentioned that Sonic will be making an appearance on Helio devices - and that he’s bringing friends.
In addition to two Sonic titles, four other Sega mobile games are in the pipes. No exact dates yet.
The games:
- Sonic Jump 2
- Sonic at the Olympic Games
- Golden Axe
- Super Monkey Ball Tip ‘n Tilt
- Columns Deluxe
- Beijing 2008
The list may change by the time the games start showing up on the WAP deck, but hopefully we’ll see things sooner rather than later.

Too bad they probably wont be landscape games.
Such a shame Helio promised to have this amazing mobile gaming device with the Ocean and instead just let it flop. Now we have the iPhone thats being hailed as the next great mobile gaming device and it looks to succeed all the hype. Funny now that Apple announced Sega, EA and other games to come Helio brings in little old Sonic and a few others. Whoop-didy-doo!
