Helio House sign going dark for Earth Hour

From Wikipedia:
“Earth Hour is an international event that asks households and businesses to turn off their lights and non-essential electrical appliances for one hour on the evening of 29 March at 8 pm local time until 9 pm to promote electricity conservation and thus lower carbon emissions.”
Earth Hour is a pretty cool idea. Sure, maybe it won’t singlehandedly save the planet, but it’s a unified effort to promote the general message of greener living - and anything that aims to keep the skies clear and the oceans surfable is good in our books.
Helio’s doing their part to spread the message. From 8 pm to 9 pm this evening, the iconic sign above Helio House (which normally glows through the night) will be turned off in recognition of this international event. It may go unnoticed by some, but the stars over Wilshire Boulevard will be a bit brighter tonight.
