Hunt for a White Ocean: Part IV (All together now)

I finally got a chance to pop together the white Ocean this morning. I’ll be popping it apart one final time to fix a few mistakes I hadn’t noticed and do one final wet sand/touch up job, but these give you a good idea of how it will look in its final form.
As you may have noticed, I don’t have the back panel pressed down 100%. As I have to disassemble it later to sand down the back a bit, pushing it perfectly flush would have made it a total pain to do. In other words, ignore the slightly lifted edges.

Rumor has it that Helio is releasing the white Ocean (Ocean 1) tomorrow. Too bad all that work you did was for nothing.
Hahaha, I’m just kidding. It would be pretty funny though.

Very nice and appealing. This white Ocean should do well in replacing the horrid images of the alleged Ocean 2 that keeps resurfacing.

If the keys were white and it had a helio logo in BLACK it would be cool, otherwise it totally looks like some cheap case Id find at a Chinatown cellphone store.

Sexy, I know as an Ocean owner, the plain black Ocean turns heads and people ask me about it… A white ocean would blow people’s mind though… Looks awesome! Great job, now paint it Ocean Surf Blue… ~;)

I’m afraid to crack my case at all! I work contruction, and had my ocean on a job where it was in a dusty environment (fine drywall dust.) So now I have small particles sandwiched in between the two ’screens.’
Anyone have any tips? In bright light (outside) the particles really light up and are annoying/distracting.

What paint did you use to color the white? how is the surface of the phone? sticky or smooth?
