Learning How to Recover a Damaged Hard Drive

I relied heavily on my desktop computer for work, so any time anything went wrong with it I went into a bit of a panic. I worked from home and had both a laptop and desktop, but my desktop is what was set up with everything I needed for work. When I had a crash recently, I could hardly think straight. I immediately jumped on the laptop to research how I should plan to recover damaged hard drive, as I was sure that was where my problem was.
