How to Access the Helio Ocean Test Mode.
Huge thanks to JustinB for coming through with this Heliocity exclusive.
This guide allows you to unlock the diagnostic mode deep within the Ocean.
READ: Be careful in here, and read what each menu does before entering them. You may well be able to brick your phone in here. Screwing around in here could well void your warranty.
This is here for information only - we definitely don’t endorse screwing with this, and take no responsibility for any damage that may occur as a result of screwing with this diagnostic menu. By following these steps, you acknowledge this disclaimer.
- Read that disclaimer up above.
- Type #76810#8378# on the Ocean’s keypad.
(Things we think you should avoid are colored red.)
- S/W Version
- RF Test
Don’t go into this menu! It throws your phone into offline mode, and requires a restart upon exiting. Don’t mess with this stuff! Though it generally just freezes, editing this stuff can take your phone outside safe operating ranges. - Protocol Test
- Melody Test
- Audio Gain
- LCD Color Test
Self explanitory. Tests LCD colors. Use up and down to scroll - Flip Count Test
- LCD Brightness
- Camera Flash
- Vibrate on
Test the vibration motors. - Camera

- Reset Count Test
- Change Device ID
- SW Reset Test
- Error Logging
- Access Test URL
- WIPI DRM Test
- Backlight Control
-1. Lets you put on sort of a “Battery Save” feature, backlight goes dim after about 2 seconds
-2. Leaves it on all the time if set to On - Keypad LED Control
- SD Test
- TCC772
Displays in depth software information, such as version, build time, hardware version, and TCC772 version (The Audio/Video software)
As far as I know, this menu doesn’t do anything special. It takes you to a blue screen with no options. You need to take the battery out to exit out of it.
Allows you to test the melodys preloaded into the phone.
Test/change various audio/speaker settings
Shows how many times you have slid your phone. There is a camera cover one as well, though the oceans do not have a camera cover.
15 levels to set for the brightness of the LCD.
Test the flash out
Various camera tests. “Encode Type” allows you to store photos as RAW rather than JPEG. (Not recommended.)
Plays different frequencies over the speaker/receiver
Displays how many times you’ve restarted your phone
Don’t mess with this - changing this could keep your phone from accessing the network properly, and serves no benefit.
Resets the software (You won’t see anything until the screen unfreezes, about 10 seconds)
View errors for debugging
Test URLs. Nothing useful.
Not sure. Says “June Player is playing” - that’s it.
Sets the keypads on or off
Tests your SD card and SD functions
Deals with various audio/video settings and tests. Don’t play with this - you can break some audio settings unintentionally.
