Yes! Check out the guide.
Can I stop the keys from locking when I close the phone?
Sort of. You can disable the “Unlock Keys?” prompt that shows when trying to use a button with the phone closed, but you’ll still have to hold the key for 2 seconds. Go into the Security screen (Menu, (1) Customize, (5) Settings, (6) Security. Enter your locked code [0000 by default]) and disable “Outside Key Lock”.
What are the Ocean’s dimensions?
4.3×2.4×0.8 in. (H x W x D). An awesome size comparison with other devices is available over at Gizmodo.
How can I improve the battery life?
There is a technique called “Battery Conditioning” that works well on most rechargeable devices, including the Ocean. This should be done the first time you turn on the device, and every few months thereafter. It’s quite simple: Charge the battery to 100% full, and then use the phone until the battery is low enough that the device powers itself down. Now charge it back to 100% a second time. This should not only make your battery last longer, but make the battery meter more accurate.
How do I connect to my Ocean via USB?
XP: Download the “Pantech/Curitel Packet Service Software” from Helio and install it. Plug in the Ocean via USB. It should be recognized within a few seconds.
Vista: Info coming soon. (We are currently investigating some issues with Vista.)
OS X: Info coming soon.
How can I send files to the Ocean over USB
After you’ve followed the process above to connect it to USB, the Ocean will default to “Helio Sync Mode”. Press the “Menu” key (left soft key) and select “Mass Storage”. You will now have two new USB drives: One for the internal Ocean memory, another for any MicroSD card you have inserted into the device.
Can I charge my Ocean over USB?
Yep. The USB cable included with your device actually does charge it, though the charging icon doesn’t flash as it usually would. It charges at a slightly slower rate, but not by much. The indicator on the USB cable goes from red to green when fully charged.
Can I move all of my Apple address book contacts to my Ocean?
This is a pretty easy process, though it’ll be a bit easier if Helio releases PC/Mac syncing. Highlight all of your contacts in address book, and export them as a vCard (You can just drag the whole lot onto your desktop, it’ll only make one file). Use this converter to convert that file into a CSV. You can now import this into your address book at webmail.myhelio.com
