Review: Golla Mobile Bags

Golla
3 of the Golla bags.

Never heard of Golla before? Well, neither had I. The idea of any kind of mobile case or pouch really doesn’t interest me however– once I actually had the Golla bags in my possession, I felt differently. Out of all the places in the world, Golla headquarters in Finland, which is probably not the first thing you think of when you hear stylish, fashionable, or technology infused mobile bags.
Aces & Lanyard.
What exactly is a Golla mobile bag? It’s a high quality bag for mobile devices such as phones, MP3 players, and anything else electronic that will fit in it. In addition to stuffing your phone in one of these, there are two additional places to store stuff; One in the zipper on the side which would be good to throw cash or change in, and another that is revealed when you open the flap (which is held shut with velcro) that credit cards, IDs, or membership cards could be stashed away in. The only one that doesn’t have a flap or any additional storage spots is also the one I didn’t receive for this review, the Hawaiian Turquoise bag. So from here on, when I reffer to the bags, I won’t be talking about that one. Each Golla retails at the Helio accessories store for $19, and the Hawaiian Turquoise bag retails for $15.
Holster style.
One thing I really liked about these bags is that there are many different ways to wear it. The bags come with a lanyard, belt loop, and carabiner (which is fancy talk for a clip). The thing I like most about these is the belt loop. Since I rarely take my laptop out of my house, I don’t really have anything to clip it to. The lanyard just isn’t for me, either. However, it makes a really awesome holster. Just slide it through your belt and wear it. Since it can’t be removed without taking your belt off, or having a crazed maniac run up to you with a cleaver and butcher it off– (we hope that doesn’t happen) it won’t be easy to lose. They have a lot of trendy looking bags, so it’s great if you are sick of all those pouches/bags that were made for old business men that are stuck in the 70s (I’m sorry if you are one, GET A GOLLA!).

Aces

This is definitely my favorite of the ones Helio sells. I didn’t like it at first, because the promo shots show the playing cards, text, and skull in a much whiter looking color, however in the actual product as you can see from my photos, it’s actually a neutral grey, which looks great. I especially like the skull, it makes me feel like a rebel. Has a red interior inside.

Adele

Another really nice looking one. Has a pink outside with a butterfly and stylized text. The interior is a contrasting earthy green color.

Cube

Cube is another great looking bag. It has stitching to give it a cubed look on the front flap. It feels like it is waterproof, and this one also has a red interior.

Overall, if you like high quality trendy stuff, you will probably like the Golla bags. They definitely put some time and thought into each of the bag styles. There is a excellent balance of quality, looks, and usability for all Golla bags.
